The mood on the European and PGA Tours could not be much more different. In America, golf is winding down for the winter break while things are ratcheting up in Europe as the Final Series of the Race to Dubai gets underway with the Turkish Airlines Open. That is not to say that there’s nothing to play for on the PGA Tour, it’s just that the atmosphere in Las Vegas for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will be much more relaxed than it is in Antalya, Turkey. But whatever the atmosphere, there are winning bets to be found so he’s our pick of the week’s action.

Turkish Airlines Open Betting Tips and Preview
The Turkish Airlines Open is making only its fifth appearance on the European Tour and its second trip to Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort. Thorbjorn Olesen was the champion 12 months ago thanks to a great week of ball striking and putting and you can be sure that those attributes will be key in deciding the winner of the 2017 renewal.
Last year’s tournament was criticised for a lack of star names but that’s largely been rectified. Both Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson are making their debut in Antalya and after finishing first and second in China last week, they’ll attract plenty of support. The same can be said of Tommy Fleetwood for whom a win would make him very difficult to catch at the top of the Race to Dubai rankings.
Those three will surely be there or thereabouts but the best value could lie with Shane Lowry. The Irishman has gone two years without a win and will be chomping at the bit to prove himself amongst this calibre of oppositions. Lowry’s form has picked up considerably in recent months and with a game that should suit this course, 30/1 with Coral looks very good each way value.

The Shriners Open has been held at TPC Summerlin since 1992. In that time, the Las Vegas layout has become known as one of the easiest courses on the PGA Tour rota. That’s fair enough given the outlandishly low winning scores that we’ve seen in this tournament but don’t think that this is a venue without its challenges.
For one, the fairways at TPC Summerlin ranks as some of the most difficult to hit on the PGA Tour. We’ve seen players overpower the course before, but generally, hitting those fairways in the right spots is vital to set up approach shots from the right angles into the course’s large greens. From there, the sheer number of putts that have to be holed to put together a score low enough to win is a challenge in and of itself.
You don’t need to tell Smylie Kaufman what it takes to win at TPC Summerlin. The 2015 champion knows just where to attack and where to play more defensively. Given the recent upturn in his form, Kaufman must be feeling good about his chances of contending again at the site of his only PGA Tour victory to date where he looks over priced at 66/1 with Betfred.
