Golf Tips for WGC HSBC Champions and Sanderson Farms Championship, Plus Betting Offers and Free Bets
It’s a tale of two very different tournaments this week. While the best of the best are assembled in China for the WGC HSBC Champions, the PGA Tour’s Sanderson Farms Championship includes just one player inside the top 100 in the world. The relative quality of the fields at the tournaments may be very different but they both offer the same opportunities from a betting perspective.

WGC HSBC Champions Betting Tips and Preview
The WGC HSBC Champions is among the most prestigious events in the world and as such it attracts a stellar line up of players each and every year. However, its proximity to the winter break means there are always big name withdrawals. There are several big names missing for this week’s event but there are plenty more world class players waiting to step in and fill the void.
Tommy Fleetwood can count himself among that number of world class talent and it’s all systems go for the Englishman in the hunt for the biggest win of his career to date. Fleetwood has got the job done at huge events already this season but he placed second at the WGC Mexico Championship when he found Dustin Johnson just one shot too good.
Things could be different this time around. While Johnson hasn’t played since the Tour Championship, Fleetwood finished sixth in the Italian Open a fortnight ago so he arrives in good form and in high spirits. While there is no particular style of golf that suits Sheshan International, Fleetwood’s quality driving and top class approach play from distance will both prove to be important tools in his armoury.
Fleetwood will have to better than a lot of players with more experience at this level under their belts but he’s ready to step up and win in China at 33/1 with Ladbrokes.
Sanderson Farms Championship Betting Tips and Preview
The Sanderson Farms Championship has always been an alternate event, scheduled at the same time as a massive tournament. Some see that as a negative but you can be sure that everybody in the field at the Country Club of Jackson this week is viewing the tournament as an opportunity.
In total, the Sanderson Farms Championship has provided 10 first time PGA Tour winners and each of the three winners since the tournament switched to Jackson were picking up their first win at the top level. A whole host of recent graduates to the PGA Tour will be hoping that they can follow in the footsteps of Cody Gribble, Peter Malnati and Nick Taylor but they’ll have to see off the challenge of a selection of veterans desperate to return to winning ways.
Luke Donald is one such player. The former world number one hasn’t won for four years but this could prove to be the perfect tournament for him. The course in Mississippi rewards quality wedge play and putting above everything else. Those are Donald’s two best skills which makes him look very tempting at 50/1 with Betfred.
